When do we recommend Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty is a procedure whereby a nose’s shape is changed with the application of either injectable Tissue Filler, also known as Dermal Fillers, or embedded Threading or a combination of both treatments.
Using these two methods the nose can be straightened, lifted and the nostrils narrowed giving the appearance of a smaller and more attractive nose. The treatments are often performed when patients are dissatisfied with the shape of their nose after trauma or previous nose surgery. Embedded Threading is very effective in narrowing the nostrils to make them smaller. *
How does it work?
The Physician will inject the Tissue Filler into the area of the nose that needs reshaping. The procedure allows for the filling in of dents in the nose, changing the shape and/or smoothing the appearance of bumps on the bridge.
With Threading, a thin thread is placed under the skin and pulled together to reduce the size of the nostrils. Results are visible immediately.
What are the possible side effects?
Slight redness and swelling may occur at the injected site, but most people can go right back to their normal routine. You can reapply your make-up immediately, so no one ever needs to know. The longevity of the results is dependent on many factors, including your age, the area injected the quantity of product used as well as your overall health and lifestyle. *
Threading (Silhouette® Soft)
The treatment involves the injection of Botox® (or a similar neuromodulator such as Disport®) into specific muscles with a very fine needle, which relaxes the contraction response of the muscles by blocking certain nerve impulses temporarily. Since the muscles cannot contract, the wrinkles associated with that soften, and become less visible. Results are usually seen in about 4 days with maximum effects around 14 days, and will last up to 3-6 * months. Repeat treatment will be required to maintain the effect, but with subsequent treatments, wrinkles permanently become less severe, it has been found. Read More
Most soft Tissue Fillers are either Hyaluronic Acid, or collagen based. Both are naturally occurring substances in the body. Hyaluronic acid, a gel-like substance, is injected below the skin in areas that need plumping and filling, to temporarily reverse sagging, hollowness, and lines and wrinkles, by adding volume and hydration the skin. The result is an immediate improvement in the appearance of deep wrinkles and facial folds and so a more youthful and radiant appearance, which can last up to a year. Lips can be redefined and plumped up, noses reshaped and subtle changes made to facial imbalances and imperfections with the use of soft tissue fillers as well. Read More
